Ryanhood
Ryanhood
Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 pm
Named ‘Best Group/Duo’ at an International Acoustic Music Awards, acoustic-duo Ryanhood got their first break more than a decade ago as street-performers at Boston’s Quincy Market. It was there that they were spotted by a college booking agent and thrust into the college touring scene, where Campus Activities Magazine would name them “one of the most requested acts by college buyers all across the country.” They’ve since gone on to share stages with Jason Mraz, Matt Nathanson, Train, and many more. Cameron Hood’s rich and folky lead vocals, Ryan Green’s explosive guitar and mandolin riffs, and their airtight vocal harmonies prompted the Arizona Daily Star to call them, “A match made in radio heaven.” Tickets are available at the discounted pre-show price of $20 (plus $2 service charge) or $25 at the door.

With Opener Bea
Chris Trapper is a storyteller. With his soulful, honeyed tenor, sly humor, and an uncanny knack for melody, Chris has traveled the world over, performing to a dedicated and ever growing fan base with nothing but his guitar and his songs. Raised on Prine and Kristofferson, Trapper's first foray in the music industry was as front man of the critically acclaimed alt-rock band The Push Stars. Over the past decade, Chris has become a modern day acoustic troubadour, performing over 150 dates a year as a headliner and sharing the stage with the likes of Colin Hay, Martin Sexton, and even John Prine himself. A prolific songwriter, Chris has garnered several high profile film placements including There's Something About Mary, The Devil Wears Prada, Say It Isn’t So, Gun Shy, and most recently, Some Kind of Beautiful - as well as significant television placements including All My Children, Women's Murder Club, Malcolm In The Middle, a coveted placement in George Clooney's final episode of ER, the theme song for WB Networks dramedy Pepper Dennis, and a cameo on-screen appearance with the show's star, Rebecca Romjin.
Almost always playing solo, Bea delivers every thoughtful lyric of her hook-strong songs with simplicity while still managing to evoke a range of emotions including, delight, anguish and melancholy. Tickets for this performance are available at the discounted pre-show price of $25 (plus the $2 service charge) or $30 at the door.

Sloan Wainwright and Cosy Sheridan
Sloan Wainwright and Cosy Sheridan
Saturday, June 15 at 7:30 pm
Our 12th Anniversary!
Long time friends, Sloan and Cosy share a joy of each other’s music and artistry on stage. The show is upbeat, energetic and moving. Joining them will be Steve Murphy (guitar) and Charlie Koch (bass). Known for her warm and welcoming contralto voice which could “fell a redwood”, Sloan Wainwright is a member of that Wainwright Family Tree which includes Loudon Wainwright (her brother) and Rufus (her nephew).  Defying standard categorization, Sloan has a command of a variety of American musical styles: pop, folk, jazz and blues. Her incredible gift is not only her unique songwriting ability but also her dramatically voiced rendition of original songs. Songwriter and guitarist Cosy Sheridan has been called “one of the era’s finest and most thoughtful songwriters.”  Her concerts are full of energy and emotionality; her songs are carefully crafted – and often shorter than the average folk song. Backed by the strong rhythms and harmonies of her bass player Charlie Koch, she plays a percussive bluesy guitar style – often in open tunings and occasionally with 2 or more capos on the guitar. Tickets are available for the discounted pre-show price of $25 (plus a $2 service charge) or $30 at the door.
